Huge progress! The NT Government have just announced that they’re accessing options to move Roseanne to appropriate care in Alice Springs.
In parliament last night the NT Health Minister said “I am absolutely committed to getting Rosanne Fulton home as soon as it is practicable” – the pressure from more than 104,000 of you who’ve signed the petition is working.
This is wonderful but we still need to keep the pressure up until she is actually transferred. So those who haven’t had a chance to sign the petition just click the link.
This young woman has been held without charge for over 18 months in a WA prison after being found unfit to plead in the use of a motor vehicle charge due to a disability caused by fetal alcohol syndrome. She is now hoping to be transferred to a facility in the NT that specialises in her condition and it is thanks to the ongoing support of her guardian and all those around the world who signed the petition.
So I wanted to say a special thank you for all for you who have been following this young woman’s story along with me.
Wow….power in numbers. I am so excited to hear this. I will put this on twitter and FB.
