That’s wonderful – is she older or younger than you. My brother was two years younger than me and even as he got big he was always my ‘little’ brother.

Younger by 2 years as well, doctors aren’t sure what she has. All we know is its something to do with her brain. She still makes us laugh with witty jokes and her bubble personality makes all of us smile

It’s difficult when there isn’t a specific thing you can say – ah that’s it – but it is in the end not important. What is, is family and the love and joy that it can bring.

He was my little brother by 2 years and I was so sad he never got meet his nephew. My son was born in May and we were waiting until he was a few months old to drive to Toowomba and see David. But he died not long after my boy was born. Still miss him.

I don’t know if you ever stop missing someone who is that important to you. You learn to go on with your day but, you know. I’m sorry he didn’t get to see your li’l boy.

I love that they included someone in a wheelchair in the video. As someone who has spent a lot of time in wheelchairs, I’m a big advocate of the sat down dance 🙂

One of the things I regret is he never met his nephew as he died about a month after Michael was born. We had been waiting for him to get old enough for the long car trip to Toowoomba. But my son has his middle name Anthony. From David Anthony ….

Made me smile and laugh at the same time. I’m going to do a full post about my brother for his birthday in July but as it was World Downs Syndrome Day I wanted to remember him and introduce him to the people he never had the chance to meet.
